Inside MC: Meet the Team – David

If you have ever called the support line or checked in with MC Live Chat, there is a good chance you have already spoken to David Kemp. You may already know that David is an expert at showing you how to solve a tough reporting challenge or finding a way to simplify a complex preventive maintenance schedule. But, did you know that David is also an accomplished mountain climber? David spent his formative years in Colorado, where the Rocky Mountains fed his passion for mountain biking, fly fishing and climbing challenging peaks.

David, pictured above at the top of Mt. Elbert, Colorado’s tallest peak, loves a climbing challenge, but relishes the full outdoor experience. Rather than rush to complete a climb, he prefers to camp in, taking in all that the mountain has to offer. After an unfortunate experience with altitude sickness (while trying to keep up with a rather intense group on a nineteen mile climb over three 13K summits), David had to head back and miss the final climb. But, he knew it was a climb he wanted to finish, so he went back and did it again, at a pace he could truly enjoy!

David has worked in Client Services for Maintenance Connection for the past year and a half, before which he spent six years in CAD Design. When David has ended his day juggling customer emails, phone calls and live chat, he loves spending time at home with his wife Abbie and adorable daughters, Aspen (4) and Sage (10).

As for any special goals or challenges ahead, David hopes to one day climb Mt. Rainier in Washington and Alaska’s “Great one” – McKinley – the tallest mountain in North America at 20K feet! Customers in the Pacific Northwest – don’t be surprised if this Rocky Mountain Man shows up at your doorstep!
