Giving Back: An MC Core Value

In 2010, our management team was searching for more ways to purpose Maintenance Connection around making a positive impact in the world. We encouraged our employees to individually volunteer through our 1-1-1 Program, and identified worthwhile organizations to help further their mission by donating our software and a portion of our company’s annual profit.

Out of the 1-1-1 Program our new MC Gives Back initiative was born, which kicked off in mid-2011. We even went a step further and repurposed our company’s mission statement to really build into our community the ideals of contributing time and energy to causes greater than ourselves.

This is why we exist as a company – to create and support world-class software solutions which provide resources to make a positive impact on people around the world.

Recently, long-time staffer Tom Rocco volunteered with his family at their annual Sanpete Gives Back community event in Utah. Others took part earlier in the year helping with a middle school makeover. We plan to continue this next month when nearly 20 people from MC, as well as our international partners, travel to Costa Rica to make a positive impact there.

Giving back and living generously was and will continue to be an important element of who we are as a company. As the saying goes, we make a living by what we get, and we make a life by what we give.

We welcome customers and followers of Maintenance Connection to seek out opportunities to implement this into your circles as well.
